RF-clad foam gaskets

At high frequencies the openings and joints of a technically usable metal shell are particularly important in terms of theire shielding qualities. It is they, rather than the thickness of the walls for instance, that determine the attenuation characteristics. which tend to be well below that of an ideal shell. In order to ensure good shielding in the RF range as well, it is necessary to seal the area where the D-sub connector is at short, pre-defined intervals. The shorter these intervals, the greater the shielded frequency spectrum
Features of RF-clad foam gaskets

¢º suitable for use with normal D-sub connectors (standard, mixed layout and high density)
¢º facilitates EMI/EMC design
¢º air and watertight, preventing corrosion at the contact points
¢º silver metallized nylon fabric with abrasion proof conductive coating
¢º large number of defined contact support points per surface for use in the highest frequency
areas
¢º highly resistant to ageing
¢º UL94 V-0 and UL94 HB listed
¢º rear mounting inside the shell
